  2. FSX NO FSUIPC INI FILE WINDOWS

For a very strange reason, FSUIPC open Revolution Sim Products.exe instead of Revolution Sim Products for Project Magenta.exe !!!! Both files are situated in the same directory. All prgrams work well, except the Revolution Sim Products for Project Magenta.exe application. More specificaly, I have made 7 Runif lines to open and close 7 programs after FSUIPC starts. One of the issues I have concerns the above matter. I can say that it was worth it yet, but I am happy for the time being.Īnyway I have few issues I have to take care and after hopefully I can be 100% operational.

FSX NO FSUIPC INI FILE UPGRADE

Never the less I tried yesterday to fix few things, and now I am flying !!!! I must admit that FSX is WOW, it is a great upgrade from FS9. It was a very busy week for me with more or less 14 hours spent in the office daily, so I could not spent even one minute on my sim. Instead, it would make it a true one button on and one button off system.Ĭoming back to this issue. You can also setup "start on lan" for each Nic Card on the computers, and then use a single program to startup all computers thus, you wouldnt have to start the machines from their power buttons. So, one button for each machine (the hardware power button on the pc) to startup and one button to shut them all down (PM CDU lsk). You can then set all the computers to shutdown through WideFS, and if you have Project Magenta, you use the CDU function "shutdown all computers" to shut them all down. We do this with all our computers for the Sim and that includes starting WideFS with any extra programs. You can also set the programs to run maximized or minimized by right clicking on the icon (prior to placing it in the Start folder) and look at the open dialog window for "Run" drop down box.

FSX NO FSUIPC INI FILE WINDOWS

I'm now convinced - having 'troubled' Pete Dowson on his forum, that it's not a FSUIPC problem at all, but a SimConnect one.Just curious? Why not just use Windows Start folder? You put copy of the shortcut icon in the Start Folder, and then when you turn the computer on, the programs will start after the OS loads. Also my Anti virus program is turned off. As both machines have WIndows Firewall turned off I tried leaving the port entry blank but got no connection - so I chose Port 500 and bingo SimConnect worked OK.Īnyway, if anyone has any idea as to why SimConnect.xml causes this I'd appreciate knowing.ītw I deleted the original SimConnect.dll file from the C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS directory and used the FSX repair option to ensure that it wasn't corrupt in any way. The only 'issue' I had in configuring the SimConnect.xml file and the SimConnect.cfg file was the 'port' entry. My two PCs are networked using a Netgear DG835 Firewall router. I had been using SimConnect.xml & SimConnect.ini etc to run a 3rd party program on my client machine (which it DID without any problem at all) but decided that installing the 3rd party prog onto my Vista machine (server) was the only way I could retain the Add on menu and FSUIPC and AFCAD etc. I've noticed that my SimConnect.xml file prevents FSUIPC from loading and hence I have no Add On menu in FSX. Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.Īny other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.īy following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
